A site that lists discount codes for many stores, usually as a publisher earning commission on the sales its links send.

Voucher sites collect codes and offers for thousands of stores and list them store by store. Codes reach them from brands and networks, from their members and staff, and from other listings. Most are publishers on affiliate programmes: the shopper clicks to reveal or use a code, the site's tracking link sends them to the shop, and the site earns commission on the order.

Many brands want them in their programme. They reach shoppers comparing offers and help a hesitant one finish. The questions are which codes they list and when their click comes. A shopper who leaves your checkout to search for a code and comes back through a voucher site gives it the last click.

  • A listing usually shows the code, what it gives, and sometimes where it came from, such as shared by a member.
  • Some run search ads on your name with “discount code”, which is for your terms to allow or not.
  • Google Search finds the listings it has indexed: put the code in quotes, and leave out your own site with -site:.

The guide to finding where your codes are listed covers the search operators and Google Alerts.
