Google's rules for where an ad leads: the display domain must match the final URL, and the click must reach that same site.
Destination requirements is the Google Ads policy about landing pages. Among other things it asks that an ad's display URL domain match its final URL, that the final URL not send people on to a different domain, and that the tracking template lead to the same content as the final URL.
For brands, the important consequence is what it allows. An affiliate's ad whose final URL is your own site shows your domain, lands on your page and can carry the network's tracking in its template, and all of that can meet these requirements. So an ad showing your address under another advertiser isn't a destination problem. Whether it's allowed is a question for your programme terms and Google's Unfair advantage policy.
In June 2026 Google posted an update allowing redirects from a final URL to a different domain in certain circumstances, with prior approval, such as a manufacturer sending shoppers to a list of approved retailers.
The explainer on ads that show your address shows how these fields fit together.
